This is completely out of my control!!
I literally can't do anything about it.
Now, before your inquisitive little minds start trying to figure out what's going on, I'm fine, lol!
Let me tell you a little story:
When my youngest daughter was almost 2 years old, she lost her paci. Getting to sleep was really hard for her and she cried for it for days.
One night, I overheard her saying, over and over, in her crib, "I'm mommy's girl! I'm mommy's girl!"
She even sang to herself awhile until she fell asleep.
The Lord reminded me of that through this one particular verse tonight.
He reminded me that in moments of uncertainty, when things happening are out of my control and even when I lose my most consistent coping companion (because I've really outgrown it and I just don't need it like I think I do, anymore), I can always talk to Him.
And, if I need to, I can sing a little and I can rehearse who I am to Him (Daddy's girl) to calm myself down and GO TO SLEEP!!!
So, that is my advice to you:
"Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life."
